We are seeking accomplished sales professionals with a passion for creating extraordinary experiences for each client and a flare for delivering world-class customer service.

 

Our dedicated Prestige Advisors are the primary contact for guests seeking to purchase or invest in precious pieces, serving as a consultant and trusted confidant. This role is responsible for delivering all sales results in fine jewelry and Swiss timepieces on an assigned ship. Our exquisite collections include unique and exclusive designer brands, one-of-a-kind limitededition pieces, rotating special collections with featured guest jewelers and Swiss timepieces curated for true collectors and afficionados. The role requires a strong presence, the ability to host lectures & events, mastery of one-to-one clienteling and expert knowledge of fine jewelry and timepieces including brands, products, stones, metals, and designs.

 

 

What you’ll be doing:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Shipboard Payroll:

  • Sales and Revenue Generation
  • Works closely with clients to align their needs and desires, proactively recommending specific pieces or styles of jewelry and/or timepieces
  • Consistently meets or exceeds voyage sales goals for assigned categories
  • Collaborates with visiting guest jewelers to ensure that all fine jewelry sales are maximized; stepping in to close sales on behalf of guest jewelers as needed

Guest Touchpoints and Traffic Driving:

  • Uses customer data to create personalized communications and private client experiences for targeted segments
  • Leads experiential events and seminars designed to educate and entertain clientele with grace and confidence
  • Takes every opportunity to engage socially with customers outside of the boutiques to build rapport, trust and credibility

Operational Excellence:

  • Organizes and prepares the retail team and other colleagues for category events, ensuring that every detail is flawless
  • Analyzes event effectiveness based on attendance, sales, and guest engagement; communicating results to the Boutique Manager and shoreside support teams
  • Ensures prominent positioning and promotion of new products and experiences to drive their successful integration into the high value boutique
  • Provides detailed feedback to the Boutique Manager on assortment curation, floorplan placement, customer inquiries and/or any obstacle to sales

Relationship Management:

  • Builds professional, harmonious relationships across shipboard departments, to drive client referrals for high value sales
  • Serves as subject matter expert for the retail sales team and other colleagues
  • Nurtures guest leads with exceptional follow-up throughout the voyage, ensuring no opportunity slips through the cracks

What we’re looking for:

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Education and Experience:

  • Experience selling fine jewelry and/or Swiss timepieces in a luxury environment required, either on land or at sea
  • Experience working in high value boutiques on luxury or ultra luxury cruise lines highly preferred
  • Proven track record of delivering sales results and goal achievement
  • Highly skilled at public speaking and delivering presentations, equally comfortable hosting events and 1:1 engagement
  • Strong command of English language; tone and inflections
  • Fine jewelry and/or Swiss timepieces professional certification highly preferred

Other:

  • Must be 21 years old
  • Able to travel, live & work on a ship for a minimum of 6-month increments
  • Possess a valid passport and when possible, seaman book copy
  • Able to stand for long periods of time
  • Able to physically participate and effectively contribute to cruise line’s safety and emergency lifesaving drills as required
  • Able to lift, pull, and push boxes of merchandise and fixtures throughout the store and lockers up to 55 lbs. using the appropriate safety equipment as required
  • Professional appearance, dress and grooming according to company and cruise line standards
  • STCW certification as required by cruise line


Physical Demands:
Office environment with frequent sitting, walking and standing, occasional climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching and balancing. Frequent use of eye, hand and finger coordination enabling use of office machinery. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds. Oral and auditory enabling interpersonal communication as well as communication automated devise such as the telephone.
